System Documentation

WAZI is a due diligence and supply intelligence system for gold supply chains, with initial focus on Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (ASM) contexts.

WAZI enables supply chain actors to evaluate sourcing opportunities, apply and document due diligence, monitor risks over time, and generate credible reporting linked to shipments and their upstream value chains.

How WAZI Works

WAZI structures due diligence as a continuous, system-driven process rather than a fragmented or retrospective exercise. Information is progressively compiled, evaluated, updated, and made ready for communication — grounded in documented processes and evidence rather than informal assurances.

The system is organised around five interconnected modules:

Module Purpose
Self-Assessment Document your organisational profile, governance, and management systems
Onboarding Structure potential sourcing relationships before engagement begins
Due Diligence Compile information for continuous evaluation and risk management
Operations Manage workforce, production records, and shipment documentation
Reporting Generate structured outputs linked to sourcing transactions

Assessment Methodologies

WAZI uses algorithmic assessment to produce consistent, transparent, and explainable results across large numbers of supply chain participants and sites.

Compliance Alignment

WAZI aligns with international responsible sourcing frameworks:
